Red Velvet Bakery Emulsion

Use LorAnn Red Velvet Bakery Emulsion to add the rich flavor and color at the same time, no additional food coloring required! This bakery emulsion is water-based so the flavor won't bake out in cookies, cakes and sweet breads. These add amazing flavor to frostings, candy fillings, custards and more! This pairs nicely with the Cream Cheese Bakery Emulsion if you are looking to create the classic flavor combination.

SUBSTITUTION: 1 teaspoon extract = 1 teaspoon emulsion

DIRECTIONS: For each 8 or 9 inch cake (12 cupcakes) your recipe makes, add one tablespoon of the Red Velvet Bakery Emulsion to the prepared batter, blend well and bake according to the directions. You will not need to add any additional red food coloring. For standard boxes cake mixes at 2 tablespoons per box and follow the directions above. For the classic red velvet flavor use chocolate or devil's food cake batters, but you can also add this to vanilla cakes too!

NOTE: Bakery Emulsions are not for use in chocolate and will cause it to seize due to the water-base. If you are looking to add flavors to chocolate or candy coatings use our flavoring oils.
