The Ateco flower nails help maintain control while piping icing flowers. You simply rotate the nail in your free hand as you pipe the petals of your rose or other flowers. Flower nails can also be used as a heating core to keep your cakes from doming during baking, instructions below! Find frosting tips and piping bags here.
COUNT: 1 flower nail
- flower nail 902: 1 7/8" (4.7cm)
- flower nail 907: 1 5/8" (4.1cm)
- flower nail 913: 2" (5.08cm)
- flower nail 914: 3" (7.62cm)
NOTE: Ateco frosting tips are made of stainless steel. The couplers are made of food grade plastic and are reusable.
USE & CARE: To use as a heating core we recommend cake nail 907 for the ideal size, but 913 will work as well. We do not recommend 902 or 914. Coat the nail well in non-stick spray or cake release. Place the nail in the middle of the pan with the nail pointing up, pour your cake batter in the pan and bake according to instructions. Use one small flower nail for 6-9 inch cakes and two for 10 inch or larger cakes. Remove your cake from the pan after baking and gently pull the flower nail out while your cake is upside down on the cooling rack. To extend the life of your cake nails hand wash in hot soapy water immediately after use and allow to air dry before storing.
